A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a professional designation awarded to individuals who have met the education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements set by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
A CFP is trained to provide financial planning services to clients, including but not limited to investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, and insurance planning. CFPs are held to a high standard of ethical behavior and are required to complete continuing education requirements to maintain their certification.
